Today we were given fifteen minutes to finalize our song suggestions and
we then presented them to our group. Below are the songs that I suggested we
should make a music video for:
#1 Children Of The Wild - Steve Angello:
I think this song would be perfect to make a hybrid of performance and
narrative music video for. The whole concept of the video could be based around
'Children Of The Wild'. With children in an urban setting either running or
traveling to match the tempo of the song.
#2 On Top - Flume feat. T-Shirt
This could be accompanied by a music video that is simply an
extension of the lyrics. So it would be a narrative charting a characters
journey through fame starting being completely unknown to being 'on top'. This
idea would require a lot of investment into a character (star) as the star
would be the pivot for the whole music video.
#3 Crackazat - Eye Light
This song would be suited
to a concept video with lots of exotic obscure shots. The shots would have to
be edited exceptionally well to maintain people's interest in the music video.
But the tempo of the song offers lots of chance for interesting shots.
